First case when f(x) < 0

This is the case where value of f(x) lies below the x axis.

So We can clearly see in the graph f(x) <0 for x < 0 and x> 2.

For second case f(x) =0

This is the case where graph will cut the x axis. So we clearly see in given figure that graph is cutting x axis at x=0, x=2

So f(x) =0 at x=0 and x= 2

Third case f(x) >0

This is the case where graph will lie above the x axis.

We can clearly see in the figure that graph is above x axis in the interval 0<x<2

So f(x) >0 for 0<x<2
