This is a comparison between the speed of sound in air (hearing) and the speed of light. (vision)

The speed of light in vacuum ( or air) is 3*108 m/s

So, the time taken by light to travel a distance d is

t = d/(3*108 )

The speed of sound in air is 343 m/s

So, the time taken by sound to travel a distance d is

t = d/(343 )

The time difference is

= da 3433* 108/ 2) = d * 0.002915455

a) Given that At = 0.243s

da = At/0.002915455 = 0.243/0.002915455 = 83.3489m

b) Given that At = 0.112

db = At/0.002915455 = 0.112/0.002915455 = 38.4159m

c) It is given that the angle between these lines in 90 degree.

So, the distance between A and B is given by Pythagoras theorem

daB = V1 + dig = V83.34892 + 38.41592 = 91.7759m
