The organization was concerend that an automobile manufacturer was misleading customers by overstating about the avergae fuel efficiency (measured in miles er gallon or mpg). So they started investigation on it.

So they select a sample and do the necessary tests to arrive at the average fuel efficiency and then they will decide whethet the automobile manufacturer was misleading customers or not of the whole set of cars

So the paramter of interest here is the mean mpg of all the cars of this particular model

So answer is C
