However, this course focuses on something much larger in scope and impact -- infrastructures. Based upon the eye-opening Introduction (please read) and first chapter of Cyber War by Clarke, we are privy to the real-world beginning of the "use of information technology and the Internet as a weapon." How do you view this evolving threat? Is it as serious as Clarke intimates? If so why? If not why? How could Cyber be an actual 'weapon' to be used by nation-states or organized crime or terrorists?

Cyber theft/crime has always been an area of concern.

Some of the reasons as to why cybersecurity came into the picture is as mentioned below.

Wanna cry which did hit the NHS 2017. It was delivered in the form of an attachment and had affected around 300,000 computers. It was then stopped by a security researcher who found the kill switch.

The second being hacker stealing 650 billion euro in 2015 where a Russian hacker gained access to the secure information from many such institutions. They used malware to attack and fetch the ATM machines to dispense cash without a card.
