Question

1731 You have been hired to design a roller coaster. The information you are given is the speed of the roller coaster at various points (we will learn how to easily calculate that in Module 3) and the normal force on a rider. The normal force is typically given in terms of gs the rider experiences. For example if the rider were experiencing 0.4g, the normal force would be their mass times 0.4g. The advantage of expressing the normal force in this fashion is the design is then independent of the actual weight of the rider. You are required to determine the radius of the track at various locations. This problem DOES need to be written out for your portfolio. A separate complete FBD KD must be written for all parts. Find the speed of the roller-coaster when the passengers feel weightless at the the top of the track.
