Answer #1

Solution:

Given that,

x y x2 y2 xy
5 24 25 576 120
6 17 36 289 102
7 18 49 49 324
8 15 64 225 120
9 10 81 100 90
10 9 100 81 90
\sumx = 45 \sumy =93 \sumx2 =355 \sumy2 =1595 \sumxy =648

r = n ( \sum xy )- (\sumx ) (\sumy) / \sqrt{} n [ ( \sum x2 ) - (\sum x )2 ] \sqrt{} [ n (\sumy2 ) - ( \sum y )2

r = 6 (648) - (45 * 93 )\sqrt{}/ [ 6 * 355 - ( 45 ) 2  \sqrt{} [ 6 * 1595 - ( 93 ) 2 ]

r = 3888 - 4185/ \sqrt{} 2130 - 2025  \sqrt{}9570- 8649

r = 297/  \sqrt{}105\sqrt{}921

r = 297 / 10.247 * 30.348

r = 297 / 310.9743

r = 0.955
