Here we have to first understand claim , evidence and facts .

Claim : A claim is basically a statement about something which can only be supported by facts or evidences . Otherwise Claims are controversial as nobody agrees by them until they are supported by strong evidences or facts .

Evidence is something where everyone agrees on and which can be verified by anybody some times with sufficient training and by use of appropriate equipment . For example when we say 'Einstein said Earth is Round" . Here we cannot verify what Einstein said but it will be an evidence for us if we can access a written record of what Einstein said .

As far as facts are concerned there is no clear cut difference between a claim and a fact because once evidences are proved they become facts . And something can be a claim in one instance and it can be a fact in other instant . For example earlier it was a claim that earth revolves around the sun and now it is a fact because everybody accepts it now as they have observed or seen & verified the evidence .

We have seen that arguments use claims a lot and to prove them evidences are provided and once evidences are verified the claims become facts . These facts are then as evidences for staking other claims .
