please answer the following question clearly. steam power plant operates with one reheater and one open FWH and one closed FWH. steam enters the high-pressure turbine at15 MPa and 600oC and the low-pressure turbine at 1MPa and 500 oC. The condenser pressure is 5 kPa. Steam is extracted from the turbine at 0.6 MPa for the closed FWH and at 0.2 MPa for the open FWH. In the closed FWH, the feedwater is heated to the condensation temperature of the extracted steam. The extracted steam leaves the closed FWH as a saturated liquid, which is subsequently throttled to the open FWH.

1-Draw a schematic of the cycle

2-Determine the fraction of steam extracted from the turbine for the open FWH

3-Determine thermal efficiency of the cycle

4-Determine the net power output for a mass flow rate of 20 kg/s through the steam generator

Consider a modern extra-supercritical pressure steam power plant that operates Rankine cycle with one open feedwater heater, one closed feedwater heater, and one reheater, as shown below. Steam enters the high-pressure turbine at 32 MPa and 700 °C and is condensed in the condenser at a pressure of 10 kPa. Steam exits the high-pressure turbine at 4 MPa and is routed into a reheater (inside the boiler) to be reheated to 640 °C. Steam at P-8 MPa is extracted from...

A power plant works with an ideal steam regenerative cycle. It consists of the following: a. A vapor turbine that ideally expands steam from 3.0 MPa and 400 oC to 10 kPa, after which the fluid goes to the condenser. b. Two extraction points in the turbine for the regenerative system, which are used as follows: i. First, steam is extracted at 0.8 MPa for a close FWH. ii. Second, steam is extracted at 100 kPa for an open FWH....

I need the answer by mollier chart not tabels 1) A steam power plant operates on an ideal reheat regenerative Rankine cycle with one reheater and two open feedwater heaters. Steam enters the high pressure turbine at 100 bar and 600°C and leaves the low-pressure turbine at 0.1 bar. Steam is extracted from the turbine at 17 and 3 bar, and it is reheated to 550°C at a pressure of 10 bar. Water leaves both feedwater heaters as a saturated...

A power plant operates on a regenerative vapor power cycle with one open feedwater heater. Steam enters the first turbine stage at 12 MPa, 560°C and expands to 1 MPa, where some of the steam is extracted and diverted to the open feedwater heater operating at 1 MPa. The remaining steam expands through the second turbine stage to the condenser pressure of 6 kPa. Saturated liquid exits the open feedwater heater at 1 MPa. The net power output for the...

    a) A steam power plant operates on an ideal reheat-regenerative Rankine cycle. Steam enters the high-pressure turbine (HPT) at a pressure of 10 MPa and temperature of 550°C. The steam expands through the HPT stage to a pressure of 0.6 MPa. Some of the steam at the end of the expansion process in HPT is extracted for a regeneration process in a closed-type feedwater heater. The steam leaves the heater as a saturated liquid and then is throttled to the...
