The deputation or legation of some work by managers to grant authority and empower them with some responsibility. The manager through delegation should divide the work, allocate all the resources based on the subordinates and colleagues skills sets and expertise area. The task delegation helps in distributing work, helping subordinates to grow and develop their career path. It increases entrusting skills and enhances leadership skills. There are many barriers to delegation like accepting that the work should be distributed, developing confidence in the team, proper communication and for effective control of the system, clarity should be there and this can be achieved when the right job is assigned to the right person. The managers should give responsibility, and create accountability which lead to maintenance of high morale. The manager should select the team or individual, explain their reasons, agreeing on deadlines, building motivation and commitment without complaining. Before the task is initiated, if delegation is made, then it leads to proper planning and stability in the process.
