If you take more calcium at one time it is harder for your body to process it. It should be taken 500 milligrams or less.

More than recommended daily dose of calcium isn't good for you. Body gets rid of extra calcium through kidney which may raise risk of kidney stone and harden blood vessels or greater risk of heart disease.
