The compound could be butyraldehyde CH3-CH2-CH2-CHO
How:
1) From IR data : 1729cm-1 indicate the CO str
2) 1H NMR: around 9.9ppm also confirmed the presence of Aldehyde
3) From 1H NMR, we can assume that there are 4 type of protons. one already we confirmed the presence of CHO-aldehyde group.
4) Remaining peaks are in the alkyl region, that is low field region. integration, 2, 2, 3 indicate the presence of CH2-CH2-CH3.
5) May be spliting pattern is not clearly visible.

2. Identify the unknown compound given the following IR, TH-NMR, and 11C-NMR. Justify your answer by labeling all peaks on the IR. Also, label the 1H-NMR, and 13C-NMR unambiguously...that is draw out the compound and label your l's ab.c, etc. and CS 123, etc. on the structure, then label the corresponding signal on the 1H-NMR, and C-NMR a.
