Is the implementation of a National ID card the right thing to do? Use the principle of utility to decide. Make a table with at least two stakeholders and at least 4 consequences. Indicate whether each consequence is a benefit (+) or harm (-)?

  • First of all, talking about the national ID card is it the right thing to do or not. If we consider it as the national tool which is available to everyone and can be managed by anyone who has the authority until and unless anything illegal is being carried out using the utility.
  • It is very common to make use of the ID card is the right thing to do and doesn't go against any of the ethics. It can be made use of if it is the legal and right way of using the ID. It becomes mandatory to make legal use of the ID's as it can be easily misused in many cases.
  • There are also certain things to be kept in mind while making use of the National ID card. They are as follows:
    • Security of the ID
    • The efficiency of the ID
    • The consistency of the ID
  • Hence, some of the stakeholders of the process would be as follows:
    • Government
    • Public
    • Applies to yourself
    • Employees

Hence, these are the stakeholders of the above process.

Beneficial Consequences:

The advantageous consequences which are beneficial as follows:

  • The stakeholders will get to make use of the national ID card for the legal purpose easily with the help of the implementation of the National ID card.
  • It will be beneficial to make use of the ID whenever and wherever it will be needed for proofreading the official documents.

Harmful Consequences:

  • The card can be easily faked which will make the identity of the user in danger and easy to hack. This will lead to many consequences on the basis of security of the cards.
  • The National ID card can be easily lost which will mark the forgetting of the imprints making it very obvious to lose the identity.

Hence, these are some of the consequences of the National ID card.
