Question

6. DataBuffer is a class from the Java API that is used to store one or more arrays of the same type of data and the same size together into a single object. These individual arrays are referred to as banks in the documentation. Use the Java API to answer the questions below. Ignore the use of the word abstract in the API (youll learn what this means if you take CS 2334 Programming Structures and Abstractions). a. Give the import statement used to work with the DataBuffer class. Construct a DataBuffer object that contains double values (use the constants in the class to determine the type) that has four banks of size 255. b. Suppose you have a DataBuffer object with reference buffer that contains at least three banks of double values. Write a loop that fills the third bank with zeros. c. d. Are DataBuffer objects mutable or immutable? Base your answer on the APL.

In Java, Implement a class MyArray as defined below, to store an array of integers (int). Many of its methods will be implemented using the principle of recursion. Users can create an object by default, in which case, the array should contain enough space to store 10 integer values. Obviously, the user can specify the size of the array s/he requires. Users may choose the third way of creating an object of type MyArray by making a copy of another...

Class StringImproved public class StringImproved extends java.lang.Object This program replaces the string class with a mutable string. This class represents a character array and provide functionalities need to do basic string processing. It contains an array of characters, representing a textual string. Overview In Java, Strings are a great device for storing arrays of characters. One limitation of Strings in Java, however (there is always at least one), is that they are immutable (ie. they cannot be changed once created)....

Using the principle of recursion, implement the following: *getSize : returns the size of the array. *get (i): returns the i-th element of the array. If the element does not exist, it throws a "NoSuchElementException” which is a subclass of Java class RunTimeException. *add (val): inserts value as the last element of the array. If necessary, double the size of the current...
