Question

8. A rectangular loop of wire (length L 18.0 cm) is moving as shown in the drawing with a speed of 2.10 m/s. The loop is leaving a region in which a 2.3 Tmagnetic field exists; the magnetic field outside this region is zero. During a time of 0.18 s, what is the magnitude of the change in the magnetic flux? Answer #1

the distance travelled by the loop d=vt = 2.1*0.18

d = 0.378 m

area A = L*d = 0.18*0.378

A = 0.06804 m2

the flux changed φ = BA = 2.3*0.06804

φ = 0.1565 Wb
