Cases Controls Total Exposed 25 10 35 Unexposed 15 70 85 Total 40 80 120 Using the 2x2 table above, a chi-square test was used to test the association between disease and exposure. The resulting p-value was 0.001. Which of the following best interprets the result? Select one: a. Based on a chi-square test with 1 degrees of freedom, we find that there is a statistically significant association between disease and exposure (p-O.001). b. Based on a chi-square test with 1 degrees of freedom, we find that there is a weak association betweern disease and exposure (P-0.001). c Based on a chi-square test with 2 degrees of freedom, we find that there is a statistically significant association between disease and exposure (p-0.001) d. The results should not be interpreted because a Fishers exact test should have been used instead. e. Based on a chi square test with 2 degrees of freedom, we find that there is a weak association between disease and exposure (p:0.001)
