RMgX which is called as Grignard reagent and it has the R , which is alkyl group having the -ve charge and the MgX is having the +ve charge so when it reacts with H2O it removes the proton from the water molecule and forms the product

RLi which is called as Organo Lithium reagent and it has the R , which is alkyl group having the -ve charge and the Li is having the +ve charge so when it reacts with H2O it removes the proton from the water molecule and forms the product and the mechanisms are as follows
