(1/2)mVo2 +mgh =(1/2)mVA2+mgh

(1/2)VA2=(1/2)Vo2

VA =Vo=17 m/s

b)

By Conservation of energy at point B

(1/2)mVo2 +mgh =(1/2)mVB2+mg(h/2)

(1/2)*172+10*42 =(1/2)*VB2 +10*(42/2)

VB=26.627 m/s

c)

By Conservation of energy at point C

(1/2)mVo2 +mgh =(1/2)mVC2+mg(0)

(1/2)*172+10*42 =(1/2)*VC2

VC=33.6 m/s

d)

By Conservation of energy

(1/2)mVo2 +mgh =(1/2)mV2+mgH

at maximum height H=0

(1/2)*172+10*42 =10*H

H=56.45 m
