Shortly after the start of a dogsled race, you find yourself pulling your supplies across the snow (those $#@*&%^*& sled dogs are in BIG trouble). You apply a force of 300 N to a rope that is attached to the front box at an angle of 20 degrees above the horizontal. Mass of the front box M=40Kg, mass of the black box m=30kg, and there is no friction between the boxes and the snow.

A)Draw a free-body diagram of each box.

B)Show that the magnitude of the normal force on the front box is 289 N.

C)Show that the acceleration of the boxes 4.03 m/s2 . Form the time you already have the boxes moving 2.0 m/s, determine the distance you move the boxes in 3.0 seconds.

D)Find the tension in the rope connecting the two boxes.

QUESTION 19 During your winter vacation, you enter a "dogsled"race across a frictionless frozen lake, in which the sleds are pulled by students instead of dogs. To get started, you pull the sled (mass m-50 kg) with a force of F-100 N at -30° above the horizontal. The sled moves S = 30.0 m, starting from rest. Assume that there is no friction. (3) How long does it take for you to complete this 30 m race? (select the closest...

Imagine yourself pulling your luggage on the snow with a rope that makes an angle of 30 to the horizontal. You apply a force equal to 40 N and the luggage moves 100 m. The snow has a coefficient of friction with the luggage of 0.6. Determine the work that you do on the luggage. 4.57 kJ O2.00 kJ 1.22 kJ 3.46 kJ

You are a fitness trainer developing an exercise that involves pulling a heavy crate across a rough surface. You attach a rope to a crate of mass M = 45.0 kg and place it on a carpeted track. Using your physics expertise, you have already determined that the coefficient of kinetic friction between the crate and the carpet is μk = 0.430. To test the apparatus, you have one of your employees pull on the rope as hard as she...

Please show a detailed solution. Thank you! You are building additional storage space in your garage. You decide to suspend a 10.0-kg sheet of plywood of dimensions 0.600 m wide by 2.25 m long from the ceiling. The plywood will be held in a horizontal orientation by four light vertical chains attached to the plywood at its corners and mounted to the ceiling. After you complete the job of suspending the ply- wood from the ceiling, you choose three cubic...
