Answer #1

given that:

Opening Estimated Inventory as on 1st August: 12000 units

Closing Estimated Inventory as on 31st Augst: 9000 units

Expected Sales Unit= 75,000 units

Unit produced= Sales units+ Closing units- Opening Units

= 75000+ 9000 - 12000

= 72000 units

Material A requirement = 3.0 lbs * 72000 = 2,16,000 lbs.

Material B requirement = 0.5 lbs * 72000 = 36,000 lbs.

Hence Option (b) is correct.
