Sandstones from Sahara are a product of aeolian deposition and give quartz arenite and sandstones in desert environment usually have iron oxide or silica as cement. They are will sorted and and are a result of muti rock cycles. While as those from a stream bed are formed due to fluvial deposition with varied cementing materials (clayey, lime). They are not well sorted and have carbonaceous materials trapped in them and  commonly develop over unconformity surfaces.
