1) In C, we use structure bit felds to declare a variable with 3 bits.

struct func

{

unsigned int X : 3; // this means the x is a 3 bit value

}var;

2) In little endian machine the lower byte is stored in the starting address and the higher order byte is stored in the next addresses. So following is the address and their values

addr : 0x0000000c -----> value : 0xdd

addr : 0x0000000d -----> value : 0xcc

addr : 0x0000000e -----> value : 0xbb

addr : 0x0000000f -----> value : 0xaa

3) A computer with 12 bit word size can access 4096 addressable memory .

The starting address is always 0x000. So the address range is from 0x000 to 0xFFF. So the top address of main memory is 0xFFF (4095 in decimal).

4) The basic function declaration in C is as follows

return_type function_name ( parameter list) { function body };

In our funtion float is the return type and (pointer and value) are the funtion parameters. foo is the function name. So following will be function declaration for our function.

float foo (int *x, int y);
