To assign R/S configuration is quite tricky . There are lots of rule and exception.

First you have to assign priority order for the group bonded to chiral carbon atom based on the atomic masses of a the atom of group. Higher atomic mass get higher priority.

After assigning priority order you have to form an arc or circle from priority order 1 to 3. For clockwise circle , R configuration is given and for anticlockwise circle , S is given.

It can not be just teached in just one day . So , I am skipping detailing because it would require too much time.
