A cyclic alkane has the molecular formula = CnH2n

A acyclic alkane has the molecular formula = CnH2n+2

so now putting all these in formula

i)   C4H8

C4H4×2 =C4H8    so it is cyclic alkane

ii) C6H14

   C6H2×6+2 = C6H14 it is acyclic alkane

iii) C12H24

C12H12×2 =C12H24    so it is cyclic alkane

iv) C3H6

C3H3×2 =C3H6    so it is cyclic alkane

v) C6H12

C6H6×2 =C6H12    so it is cyclic alkane

vi) C5H12

   C5H2×5+2 = C5H12 it is acyclic alkane

vii) C10H22

   C10H2×10+2 = C10H22 it is acyclic alkane

viii) C7H16

   C7H2×7+2 = C7H16 it is acyclic alkane
