It's a physics question.

Magnitude of acceleration of block A and block B will be same as they are connected by same thread
So, acceleration of block B 3 m/s^2 (decreasing)

C is moving down at 5 m/s
So point D is moving up by 5 m/s
A is moving up by 8 m/s

So,
B will be moving down by 8-5 = 3 m/s

So,
B is moving at 3 m/s doiwnward which is decreasing at 3m/s^2
