Answer #1

Unconditioned stimulus US - It is the stimulus which elicit unconditional ( unlearned) response. Here, "beating by parents" is US.

Unconditional response UR - It follows unconditional stimulus. Here," getting upset" when beaten by parents(US) is UR.

Conditional Stimulus CS - it is the stimulus which was neutral earlier, but elicit conditional response when associated with Unconditional stimulus ( beating). Here, "Ruler" is conditional stimulus, which naturally doesn't upset person. But, when miriam is beaten(US) by ruler(CS), association takes place and then CS elicit CR.

Conditioned Response CR - It is the response elicited by Conditional Stimulus. Here, " getting upset" everytime when she sees a ruler is CR.

Generally, CR is less intense than UR.
