Question

Report your cider yield in terms of volume (L of cider) per mass (kg of apples). Remember to take into account the specific gravity of your cider in order to correctly calculate final cider volume from cider mass. Show all work

Cider Yield Info

Mass of Apples = 169.6 lbs

Mass of Cider = 111.6 lbs

Temperature = 74.3 oF

Degrees Brix = 12.5 oBx

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So far I have converted the mass of apples and mass of cider from lbs to kg. I believe the mass of apples in kg is 76.9 and the mass of cider in kg is 50.6.

I have also converted degress brix to specific gravity and got 1.0505

From here I'm not sure what my professor meant about correct temperature adjustment and how to do the yield calculation to get the yield value.

Thank you in advance
