2.8) TA is disappointed because to change the amplitude the knob of the channel (to which the signal is connected) under the Vertical section should be turned.

2.9) This is so because by turning the knobs the student has changed some parameter of the signal (either amplitude or frequency) and thus the signal on the oscilloscope is now changed and the previous measurements were from the previous signal and are of no use now as the whole activity has to ba carried again now.
