Let x-axis lies along east-west direction.

the net displacement vector is given by

S= S_1+S_2+S_3

= (+500 m) + (-450 m) + (+680 m )

= +730 m

(+ sign indicates east direction and - sign indicates west direction)

Therefore the bee is 730 m east of the hive.
