Answer #1

Ans

1

Number of secondsry coils = 15

2

f is positive.

do is negative.

di is negative.

Explanation

1

Number of primary coils Np = 75

Primary voltage Vp = 120 Volts

Secondary voltage Vs = 24 Volts

Let Ns = Number of secondary coils

As

\frac{N_s}{N_p} = \frac{V_s}{V_p}

N_s= N_p \times \frac{V_s}{V_p}

N_s= 75 \times \frac{24}{120}

N_s= 15 Coils

We use Convex lens for magnify the text. When object is placed between focus of lens and optical center then it creates a magnified virtual image.

Now for convex lens f is positive.

Object is left side of lens so do is negative.

Image is virtual and on the same side of object thus di is negative.
