Reciprocal inhibition is one where there is a suppression of the antagonist muscles. If flexor muscle in the arm is contracted then the extensor muscle in the arm will relax. Therefore, we can conclude that the two fill ups are antagonist and flexor. Summarizing the concept is as follows. When agonist mucle contract, antagonist relaxes and this is the phenomenon happening in reciprocal inhibition.
