Based on what you know from the news reports, and perhaps your own experience: Why is it that the majority of the elderly population in the USA were (are) so vulnerable to being infected and to dye from the virus? What about the side effects and the rehabilitation many older adults are undergoing right now due to COVID-19? Your posts should include physical issues and cognitive issues during Late Adulthood as discussed in class. Additionally, please discuss the impact to the family members of these older adults with COVID-19. Feel free to add any examples and supplemental research information.

I feel the majority of population in elderly is vulnerable to covid as they anyways do not follow a healthy routine and the ones who do are always into drugs, smoking and drinking so their immunity is quite weak in comparision to the rest. This also suggests that no matter how much they try, they will be at a high risk to catch the infection of they begin to step out of the house.
