Answer #1

While moral reasoning in Western culture is predominantly guided by a justice orientation, many other cultures prefer a caring orientation. ‘A thief is a bad role model’ represents a caring morality.

Caring morality, unlike the other moral reasoning that seeks to punish and judge others harshly, seeks to establish moral standards without judgements but with care. This would mean that when the statement a thief is a role model, people wouldn’t seek to become thieves. Thus, it provides a general sense of morality without judgement or establish justice by punishing people.
