1, explain why the appropriate test to use is a chi-squared test of independence. clearly refer to the relevant population(s) and categorical variable(s) in your answer.
b, state the hypothesis (Ho and Ha), making sure to refer to your population(s) and variable(s)
1. Here the whole population of 18+ Canadians are classified into two atribute, knowledge of Autumn Peltier and generations which are the categorical variables. We can calculate the proportion of memebers falling in each class of those attributes . Also, any of the class does not contain frequency which is less than 5% of the total members. So, to test whether there is association between knowledge of Autumn Peltier and generations or not, thye chi squared test of independence is appropriate .
b) The null hyouthesis :-
The knowledge of Autumn Peltier and generations are independent for the 18+ Canadians .
The alternative hypothesis :-
The knowledge of Autumn Peltier and generations are associated for the 18+ Canadians .
