Chi square table

While testing for independence in two way table we have to compare the calculated test statistic with the table value of chi square distribution with (n-1)*(m-1) degrees of freedom where n is number of columns and m is number of rows.

The test statistic follows the chi square distribution and hence chi square tables are required.
