option C). is correct i.e. fossil fuel usage increases in winter month.

option b) and d) is not the primary reason because when there is summer in northern hemisphere then it must be winter in southern hemisphere and we know that plant do photosynthesis and respiration, take up the gas in spring and summer, and release it in fall and winter.So it makes a balance. and option a). is clearly wrong because jet aeroplane is not the reason for this.
