Given that,

Z\alpha/2 = Z0.025 = 1.96

Margin of error = E = Z\alpha/2 * ( \sigma /\sqrtn)

= 1.96 * ( 7 /  \sqrt32 )

= 2.43

At 90% confidence interval estimate of the population mean is,

T  ± E   

= 137 ± 2.43

= ( 134.57, 139.43 )

We are 95% confident that the true mean of breaking distance of all cars between 134.57 ft. and 139.43 ft.
