A)

R' = (8 x 24)/(8 + 24) = 6 ohm

R" = 6 + 6 = 12 ohm

R"' = (24 x 12)/(24 + 12) = 8 ohm

Req = 8 + 4 = 12 ohm

B)

Current, I = 24/12 = 2 A

Voltage across 4 ohm, V' = 2 x 4 = 8 V

Voltage across 24 ohm, V" = 24 - 8 = 16 V

Current through 24 ohm, I' = 16/24 = 0.67 A
