In contrast to a target market, which is an aggregation of groups of customers with similar characteristics, a buyer persona describes the typical customer as an individual. Simply speaking a user persona is created when a product idea is conceived and goes on for its whole life cycle .it is a method of understanding the needs , preferences,wants and desires of the target customers through general factors such as their age,gender, demographic and more.

In order to be effective we need to have a clear idea of what the user does and doesn't want ,therefore it is important to try and duplicate the emotions of the target market.We can design or modify our product based on the user personas in order to better attract them to buy the product

In any business you will have to know what drives your consumers ,user personas provides information to address and find out these drives

In my opinion the most important advantage of user personas is that they bring about focussed development and outcome,since we know what features the target user wants we can ignore other frivolous features and focus on the main aspects, also there won't be any difference of opinion regarding product development among the team
