Answer #1

Answer : - The wave velocity is given as

  • v = \frac{\omega}{k }................................................(1)
  • where \omega is the angular frequency and k is propogation constant .
  • as we know that relation between angular frequency & time period is given by \omega = \frac{2\pi}{T}
  • and the wave propogation constant is given as k = \frac{2\pi}{\lambda }
  • so putting the above two value in equation (1) we get
  • v = \frac{\lambda}{T }
  • now putting the given values
  • v = \frac{2.5}{0.20 }
  • v = 12.5 m/s ....................................(Answer)
