1) The Buckling usually happens in Vertical strut members called as columns.

When the compressive load is applied between two columns and if we increase load gradually the column will reach ultimate load and beyound this load column will fail due to Crushing and load is called Crushing load.

The vertical member like column will not fail entirely due to crushing but sometimes due to bending which is called as buckling. If long column is subjected to compressive load it will undergo compressive stress and if load is increased gradually column will tend to have lateral displacement and buckling will start. This is called buckling.

The Slenderness ratio is defined as ratio of Effective length of Column to least radius of Gyration of section. The Buckling failure is common in long & Slender columns

Correct Answer :  (f) Buckling is form of failure experienced by slender column

2)At the Point of Necking, if the load is applied on the material, the length of member will start to increase for your ductile material and cross section area will get reduced. So,Cross Section area will increase statement is false.

Correct Answer : (a) Cross Sectional area Increases.

3) The Material present in steel at a temperature between 300 and 550 deg c is called bainite. In this temperature, Carbide is precipitated inside the ferrite

Correct Answer : (b) bainite
