An industrial psychologist is studying how different types of management styles affect productivity for both younger and older employees. The management styles the psychologist compares are: 1. Authoritative, 2. Collaborative decision making 3. Low impact. An equal number of younger and older employees were supervised using one of these three different management styles for a month and their productivity was measured. A total of 120 people participated in this study, assume each cell had an equal n value.
The independent variables are
1. Management style which has three levels and
2. Age group having two levels younger employees and older employees
The type of experiment is Randomised Block Design
The experiment would be 2 X 3 ANOVA
Authoritative | Collaborative | Low Impact | ||
Younger | 60 | |||
Older | 60 |
The n value for each cell will be 20
If Interactions are not considered then we will have to calculate two F values one for each independent variables
And if Interactions are condered then we will have to calculate three F values one for each of the independent variables and one for their interaction.
Thank You. Hope this is helpful.
