Answer #1

1) using lens formula,

1/f = 1/v - 1/u

1/v = 1/60-1/40

v = - 120 cm

Hi = 120*4/40

Hi = 12 cm, virtual

Option c) is the correct answer

2) using mirror formula

1/f = 1/u + 1/v

1/v = 1/-20 +1/10

v = - 20 cm

M = - v/u

M = 20/10

M = 2

Option d)
