Solution

Please see the attached. In the first case, the magnetic field due to a wire carrying current can be obtained by thumb rule. If you place the wire on your right hand such that thumb points in the direction of current, the curled fingures will give you the direction of magnetic field around it. It will be directed circling around the wire. Compare the diagram I have drawn in the first case with thumb rule as stated, you can find how I got the direction.
