In static data structure, the memory to the structure is preallocated before they execute.

The memory location is fixed and also the size occupied by it.

The content of the structure might change during the course of execution, but the memory location occupied by it as well it's size will not change.

For static data structure, the size of structure has to be predefined before running.

Advantages:

1. Since the size is fixed , no need to have control to check overflow.

2. Static data structure is easier to implement.

Disadvantage:

1. If the size of structure needs to be increased at run time, there is no provision to do it.

2. There might be space wastage since more space is allocated for structure to be on a safer side.

No, disadvantages outweigh the advantage since better memory space utilization is of utmost priority .
