Answer #1

Answer :

Any technical breakthrough is expected to have its pros and cons. Determining the method and way we want to use the same is on the regulators and the beneficiary community. Similarly, in the case of social media platforms, it is the society that has made it so popular that today everyone feels the compulsion to be on social media, we are not compelled or enforced by any rules and regulations to use social media and make our personal life along with social life public many times. Sure, it's true that Facebook has been in a lot of legal trouble over privacy violations and antitrust regulations late. Facebook looked closely at four different antitrust tests, a former fellow benefactor who wanted a different split company, and a presidential leader up who made the organization's separation a crucial part of her fight.

It's a long way from a few short years ago, when people saw Facebook and its Founder, Mark Zuckerberg, as prime instances of tech growth and inspiration for numerous industry and tech pioneers. Social networking has given us a simple and inexpensive way to connect with our friends, families, and customers. The FTC was the main office to launch an antitrust-centered Facebook investigation The FTC announced Facebook had agreed to take care of a historic $5 billion penalty because of the organization's test following the embarrassment of Cambridge Analytics. Notwithstanding the fine, Facebook agreed to obtain another compliance plan that would allow Zuckerberg and quality officials to send quarterly accreditations to the FTC to guarantee that the company is compliant. We have several instances where consumer personal data has been compromised and leaked via social media. Some social media are also selling users ' personal data in the black market for a great amount of money. Facebook was extremely controversial when it came to selling users ' personal data to third parties for money. Facebook has infringed its legal and moral responsibilities by manipulating users ' personal data for money and its supremacy. We also gave other device-makers direct access to user data. Acceptance of innovation and technology does not do any harm so it must not offer the monopoly as well as more harm than the benefits. The biggest issue today is Facebook's dominance in all social media networks, and there must be a favorable atmosphere to establish other social media outlets such that customers' interests are covered and companies will still have the option to choose the channel for their marketing efforts. Society and regulators, as well as corporates, should combine their efforts to outline the way and means to update the social media platform and make it a sustainable platform for more people's benefit.

What are your top 3 takaways from this article?
