Tiles are better thermal conductor than wood. When we put our foot on tile, heat is transferred readily, that's why tiles feel colder. While heat transfer from foot to wood floor will take more time, because of less heat conductivity, that's why woods feel warmer.

Tile has larger thermal conductivity than wood.
