Discussion: Draw the line corresponding to the given flow rate and head to find the operating point. Then, choose the impeller size which can handle the given operating point. For given conditions, the minimum impeller size is 8.5”. Any impeller size less than this will not provide the required flow rate and any impeller size greater than this will consume more power.
