Please help me with this leadership question, The first-place winner was able to pull 9,000 lbs, and the second-place winner was able to pull 8,000 pounds. After the competition, they decided to hook both horses to one sled to see how much they could pull together. Several people watching predicted the two horses combined would pull 17,000 pounds, which equated to a combination of the amount each horse-pulled individually. What do you think and why?
The given case is a clear example of team work. When the people work in team they do not only complement each other’s work but in fact the final or resultant work is far more than their cumulative work. For instance, in the given case the cumulative load that can be pulled by both the horses is 9000+8000=17000 pounds but if the horses are combined together and they have some previous experience of working in tandem, then they will be able to pull even three to four times more weight that they can do independently.
This is because when we work in team we all put our efforts and complement and support each other that results in a far better outcomes.
