We are keeping the same setof runners before and after the new model of shoes which are aimed at increasing the runner speeds. Note that the speed here could depend on the shoe model but also on the ability of the runner himself. Therefore if the runners are originally fast, then the times would be lower for both the before and after shoe model (because they are originally fast themselves. )

As we are keeping the same set of marathon runners, therefore this data set is dependent here.
