Here we have not given the population standard deviation so we will use t test for conclusion about the null hypothesis.

P value = 0.0344 and \alpha = 0.01

Decision rule - Reject H0 if p-value < \alpha = 0.01 else accept H0.

here we can see that p-value =0.0344 > 0.01 so we accept H0.

conclusion -

c) There is not sufficient evidence to conclude that the mean life expectancy of flashlight batteries is different from 34 hours.
